We celebrate our centenary with an international event dedicated to fencing and the discovery of our region.
Sea and piste:
the perfect mix for 100 years
In Sassari, in the heart of northern Sardinia, you will experience something truly special: in the morning you can discover the wonders of our territory, immersed in the clear light of our beaches and our city, and in the evening you can refine your technique with top-level masters in the salle of the Circolo Schermistico Sassarese ASD — the largest in all of Sardinia.
A unique way to combine training, nature, and well-being — and it’s what we’ve been doing for 100 years! Join us and live, just like we do, between sea and piste!
Un centenary

and fencing for everyone
from U14 to Veterans
From June 15 to 20, the Fencing & Sea Camp offers a program designed for fencers of all ages and levels, with plenty of time to discover the beauty of our territory.
In the late afternoon, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, fencing training begins: technical lessons, bouts, physical preparation, and sparring with a highly qualified staff, divided by weapon: foil and épée.

FOIL
Fencing coach. After her competitive career, she continued in the Masters circuit, achieving notable results in international competitions. Today she focuses on teaching, passing on experience and method to her students, with particular attention to their technical and personal development.
EPEE
During her competitive career, she achieved significant results at the international level. After retiring from competition, she continued her path in fencing as a coach, becoming a Veteran and contributing to the development of new athletes.
FOIL
Fencing coach, highly experienced. He stands out for his focus on athletes’ personal growth, supported by a comprehensive 360-degree approach that integrates both mental and physical development, combined with strong technical expertise and a modern approach to teaching.

EPEE
Fencing Master and former international-level athlete, he is one of the most accomplished figures in the Veteran épée circuit. Over the course of his career, he has won numerous titles, including multiple victories at the World Veterans Championships, standing out for his consistency, technique, and competitive longevity. Today he brings his experience to athletes, with a highly advanced technical approach.
EPEE
Fencing Veteran and former épée athlete, a leading figure in the national Masters circuit. Over the course of his career, he has achieved victories in national competitions and numerous notable results, including podium finishes at the Italian Championships and appearances at Veterans World Championships.
EPEE & FOIL
Xavier Boulet is an international French coach with extensive experience in high-level fencing training, specializing in both foil and épée. After coaching in France, Switzerland, and Canada, he is now Head Coach at Fecht-Club Tauberbischofsheim, one of the most prestigious and historic fencing clubs in the world.

Present at the camp will also be the technical staff of the Circolo Schermistico Sassarese: Head Coach Maestro Gian Franco Masia, Regional Instructor Mariangela Busi, National Instructor Maurizio Vatta, Technical Director and International Referee Carlo Cubeddu, along with all trainee instructors.

Price
Access to the camp and registration for the final competition has a total cost of €80 per athlete, payable on site.
What’s included
The €80 fee includes:
- 4 evenings of training sessions at the Circolo Schermistico Sassarese
- 1 lesson with one of the coaches in the declared weapon
- Official event t-shirt
- Buffet dinners for all 5 days following training
- Entry to the competition on June 19 or 20, depending on the weapon
- Participation in the centenary celebration evening on June 20
What’s not included
The €80 fee does not include:
- Travel to and from Sardinia
- Accommodation and any meals not explicitly mentioned
How to reach us
- By plane: Alghero airport (about 30 minutes), alternatively Olbia airport (about 1 hour and 30 minutes)
- By ferry: Porto Torres port (about 20 minutes from Sassari) or Olbia port (about 1 hour and 30 minutes), with connections from Genoa, Livorno and Civitavecchia
- Recommended: car rental to move freely and explore the area
